How hard are we chasing?

A few weeks back I listened to the parable of the lost coin from the book of Luke as well as the story from Acts recounting Paul's conversion and commissioning. It's funny how God puts you in places to hear things to encourage, convict, or push you on towards different weigh-points in your journey. The recounting of these stories reopened my eyes to the facts that I've known for years.

Christ pursues us relentlessly just like the woman searched for the coin. But are we pursuing Him with the same fervor? I'm not so sure that I am every day. Following Christ is work and honestly there are tons of times when I blow Him off for the agenda of ME.

I wonder...

What would life be like if I ran as hard after Him as he runs after me? It would be incredibly different I'm afraid.

What am I going to do about this? I dunno... What did Paul do? He went full steam ahead regardless of the cost.

Seems like that is great example to follow.
